About Us
Back in 2003 a few dedicated young minds wereeager to lend helping hands to the underprivileged section of our community, with limited resources at their disposal, except a dream and determination to realize the dream.
Thus was born ‘ORCHI’ that has taken up the challenge to serve the society for betterment. Since the last 15 years, we have been dedicatedly working towards child education, health awareness programs, sustainable environmental programs, and awareness about social justice to women, vocational training programs, social campaigns against cyber crimes etc. through various initiatives. In future, ‘ORCHI’ intends to delve deeper into the awareness programs related to legal aid support to women and Cyber Crime impacting children and families belonging to the marginal section of the society.
Philosophy
‘ORCHI’ pledges to walk besides the underprivileged, struggling at the bottom of the society by helping them with education, counselling, vocational training, values and facilities to their lives, being their partner in distress, irrespective of age, sex, and religion.
PRESIDENT'S NOTE
It was 2003 when a group of bright young souls assembled to address certain burning social issues like education, health, environment women empowerment etc. under the banner of their newly formed organization ORCHI. They had nothing except a strong desire to work for the marginalized sections of the society. It was highly unusual and noble because these young men and women were eager to apply their expertise for the cause of needy people instead of pursuing their own careers. Initially they didn’t get any organized financial support. But, they kept doing their job regularly from their pocket money. In due course they received donations from few well-wishers.
From the inception, ORCHI took up projects related to education, health care, cultural affairs, women self reliance and executed them successfully.
In ORCHI, we have a group of dedicated people with expertise in various fields, with lofty social development dreams and we are firm believers of emancipation through empowerment.
